We are excited to announce that nVent has joined the Minnesota Lynx as a Lynx Changemakers inaugural partner alongside Pentair and Target. Announced in 2023, Changemakers is a first-of-its-kind venture focused on building the next generation of female leaders and elevating women’s sports in Minnesota.
At nVent, promoting a culture of inclusion and diversity is woven throughout our organization. We believe that diverse perspectives are key to our ability to innovate for our customers and grow. Four members of our c-suite including our CEO, and five of the nine members of our Board of Directors are women. We also committed to increasing representation of women in management globally by 20% by 2025, from our 2019 baseline. We are excited to partner with other organizations that share our values to help foster gender equity and women’s leadership through the power of sports.
The Changemakers platform combines purpose-driven activation with direct financial support of local organizations. Minneapolis-based Girls Taking Action™, working to empower and educate girls to succeed in school and life, has been named the first Changemaker Impact Partner.
On August 6, nVent will participate in the first Changemakers Summit. The summit will feature Maya Moore Irons as the summit’s keynote speaker. Moore Irons, a 4-time WNBA champion with the Minnesota Lynx and one of the game’s most prolific players, will talk about her journey from the WNBA to a social justice advocate and the ‘changemakers’ that influenced her along the way. The Lynx will also celebrate nVent and the other Changemaker partners on ‘Changemaker Night’ on Friday, Sept. 13 when Minnesota hosts the Chicago Sky. All partners and Girls Taking Action will be recognized with a special on-court ceremony.
