An Earthbridge is a prefabricated assembly consisting of a copper receptor which acts as a preferential bonding earth point on a cast structure or a cast member either for earthing or stray current application and a piece of conductor, connected to the copper receptor by an nVent ERICO Cadweld connection. The conductor is then connected to the structure on site using nVent ERICO Cadweld or another welding method.
Earthbridges are used as earth points on plinth to be connected by a jumper conductor, earth test point on the piers, any earthpoint where copper is prone to theft, and substitution of electrical conductor in concrete which may have lesser life than the design life of system because of corrosion.
The Earthbridge is embedded in the concrete member during the casting such that only the round surface of copper earth point is visible while being perfectly in flush with the concrete surface.
