Challenge

Updating an existing heat tracing system that effectively transfers phenol from storage to the production plant as quickly as possible is no easy task. The main challenge came with the low ambient temperatures and ensuring the product would not solidify during the transfer

Solution

Design and install a new heat tracing  system using 177+ meters of nVent self-regulating cables, and two NGC-20 local controllers. Dynea now has a heat management system guaranteed to constantly maintain the phenol temperature within the pipeline.
