nVent Named to Newsweek’s America’s Greenest Companies 2024
We are excited to announce that nVent has been named to the inaugural ranking of America’s Greenest Companies 2024 by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group. nVent is one of 300 companies on the list and earned a score of 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Newsweek, in partnership with Plant-A and GIST Impact, identified the top 300 companies in the U.S. based on environmental sustainability. The rankings are supported by research and analysis of top organizations in the U.S. that have a market capitalization of a minimum US$5 billion and adhere to the European Union sustainability standard guidelines. The evaluation is based on greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, water generation, waste generation, and sustainability data disclosure and commitments.
Since first publicly setting Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals in 2020, we have taken significant strides in our sustainability program every year. We focus our ESG efforts in three pillars: People, Products and Planet. Within the Planet pillar, our strategic actions aimed at driving responsible use of natural resources helped reduce normalized water consumption by 12% and normalized waste generation by 14% in 2022 compared to 2021.
We also invest in on-site renewables projects to drive sustainability at our sites around the globe and engage employees to identify and execute environmental improvement projects. These efforts helped us drive a total reduction in CO2e emissions of 7% in 2022 compared to 2021.
