Reducing Snow Load on Metal Roofing

Challenge:

Modern design and a metal roof led to sliding snow, which was causing problems with snow hitting the  exposed cable running alongside the roof. Heavy snow load was also causing safety issues for a highly-trafficked area below. 

Solution: 

nVent RAYCHEM RIM panel system was combined with a customized ACS-30 control system to reduce snow load. This eliminated safety risks for patrons, while fitting the unconventional roof design.
