Frost Protection on a Zig Zag Roof
Frost Protection on a Zig Zag Roof
Glasgow, Scotland
Challenge:
The new Glasgow Museum of Transport needed to protect their complicated zig zagged roof from snowfall and water flow. The solution needed to be energy-efficient and compatible with the building’s central building management system (BMS).
Solution:
A system was designed using IceStop self-regulating cables, a proven energy-efficient solution. The cut-to-length nature of the cables made for easy installation with no wasted cable at the end of the project. 3 RAYCHEM EMDR-10 units provided smart control and integrated seamlessly with the building management system (BMS).
