Crompton Controls transforms business performance with nVent HOFFMAN ModCenter

A comprehensive search for an automation solution led Crompton Controls to the nVent HOFFMAN ModCenter, a versatile, automated modification engine for the machining and building of electrical control panels and enclosures.

When considering how to remain competitive over the next 120 years of its history, Crompton Controls decided it needed to incorporate a higher level of automation into its manufacturing process. This, it calculated, would increase quality, accuracy, efficiency and production capacity while helping to streamline resourcing and staff upskilling efforts.A comprehensive search for an automation solution led Crompton Controls to the nVent HOFFMAN ModCenter, a versatile, automated modification engine for the machining and building of electrical control panels and enclosures.

During a presentation by nVent, a cost calculator showcased the potential return-on-investment of nVent HOFFMAN ModCenter to assembled Crompton Controls decision makers. Managing Director David Chappell and his team could see how automation could transform company’s competitiveness, efficiency and bottom-line performance.

Meanwhile, the nVent HOFFMAN ModCenter stood out from the other considered solutions, in terms of quality and reliability. Following Crompton Controls’ decision to implement ModCenter, installation, commissioning and the training of six staff members was completed in just two days, supported by guidance and best practice advice from nVent.

Based on the positive experience with the nVent HOFFMAN ModCenter, Crompton Controls now plans to roll out nVent HOFFMAN Wire Processing Center, which optimizes the production of wire by significantly reducing the processing time involved.
