Challenge

The unidirectional sulphur pipeline maintained an 18-meter elevation change between pit and kiln. A system failure would result in the sulphur solidifying within the pipeline, and interrupting the daily operation.

Solution

We installed an advanced Fiber Optic Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) system with separate resistive load bank to avoid any unbalanced conditions and monitor the system.
