Drawings
nVent HOFFMAN’s Express Customization is all about speed. We have taken this into consideration throughout the process, from quoting, to placing the order, and the final delivery.
The actual modifications are done in our local Express Customization Centers, according to your drawing. nVent HOFFMAN provides dedicated DXF and DWG drawings for this service, for all standard products. These drawings meet your requirements but are easy for nVent HOFFMAN to operate as well. Drawing must be set in millimeters at scale 1:1, and all views must be clearly defined. In addition to the drawing, nVent HOFFMAN provides a tool kit with default symbols to understand what operations are required.
Drawings provided in accordance with the above, the so called ‘approved drawings’, are converted to machine code at the minimum costs for the customer. We also accept non-supported formats or sketches, the so called ‘non-supported drawings’. These drawings or sketches are converted to a suitable working drawing at a reasonable cost for the customer. We will always request drawing approval before making the modifications.
ORDER
At this stage, we assume you have already received a purchase price and a quotation reference from the configurator. We kindly ask you to include that reference on your purchase order to either your Distributor or to us, if you are one of our direct customers.
Your drawing should be attached to your purchase order that is validated by nVent HOFFMAN. We might get back to you if there is a doubt about the specification or otherwise, you will receive an order confirmation swiftly.
The item number and drawing are stored in our Document Archive to allow you to place future orders without the need to send your drawing again. Any change to an existing drawing is possible by sending us a revised version that replaces the latest drawing we have.
Delivery
The products that we modify to your needs are taken from stock. The edges of a cut-out or hole are repainted, following a tested procedure to maintain the corrosion resistance of the standard product.
The label on the packaging is replaced with a new label, indicating your item number and order number. When you receive the modified products, all documentation will match your purchase order, so that you lose no time booking in the goods.
